16th Anniversary of September 11th

  •  September 11, 2017

Today marks the 16th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. At 8:46 a.m., the first of 4 hijacked planes flew into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. 17 minutes later, at 9:03, another plane flew into the South Tower. Within an hour and a half, both towers had collapsed.
Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in the combined attacks on New York City, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.
Today we remember those lives lost and the sacrifice so many gave on that day.
As former President of the United States, Barack Obama, said of the attacks, " [Sixteen] years after small and hateful minds conspired to break us, America stands tall and America stands proud. And guided by the values that sustain us, we will only grow stronger."
